At Five Food Cafe, Halifax we offer a healthy alternative to fast food. It’s fast, but it’s fresh, wholesome, nutritious and totally free from any type of processing!

Our vintage style bistro offers a range of delicious foods from granola pots with fresh fruit, to healthy salads and Moroccan Tagine, each filled with absolute goodness. And we also sell classics – an egg butty or a baked potato, or a stunning grilled sandwich. Just ask, and we’ll be able to cater for you.

We can make ready made meals to order or take out boxes for those of you in a rush. And if you do have time to take a seat in our unique vintage cafe, we’ll make you feel right at home.

The pandemic is causing so much heartache, worry, financial difficulties that it’s truly hard for a lot of people to see a light at the end of the tunnel, however showing compassion and helping others wether that be humanitarian or wildlife it’s a great way to ease the burden and gives you a inner feel good factor which we genuinely all need and especially now.

Starting on Wednesday and every Wednesday for the foreseeable future we will be doing a box meal that can be purchased and donated to someone you think really needs that random act of kindness – this week’s meal will be a comforting Beef Stew you can order and they can be picked up or delivered.

Help us to support Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue & Protection

LCRP is the first and only chimpanzee sanctuary and conservation center in Liberia rescuing chimpanzees who are victims of the illegal bushmeat and pet trades.

More than 58 orphaned chimpanzees, nearly all under the age of five, are currently under the care of LCRP. Each month, more captive chimpanzees are confiscated, allowing for the enforcement of Liberia’s wildlife laws. Without the ability to confiscate wildlife, authorities cannot protect and preserve chimpanzees.
